Precision Aquatic Technology

DOMINATING THE WATER THROUGH EMPIRICAL TELEMETRY

FATHOM Instruments was founded to bridge the divide between hydrodynamic science and poolside coaching intuition. We build a unified, multi-platform operating system—Fathom OS—and integrated deck hardware engineered for competitive swimming programs.

THE PROBLEM WE SET OUT TO SOLVE

Competitive swimming is measured in hundredths of a second. Yet for decades, daily training has relied on manual stopwatches, handwritten logbooks, and fragmented timing pads that offer zero stroke-by-stroke diagnostics during critical training sets.

Coaches spend vital practice hours with their heads buried in clipboards instead of watching swimmer mechanics. Swimmers finish grueling 7,000-yard practices without concrete data explaining why their pace degraded on the third 200 of a descend set.

FATHOM was formed to eliminate this blind spot. By pairing ruggedized pool deck hardware with millisecond-accurate telemetry sensors, we deliver continuous, real-time analytics directly to the coach’s tablet, deckside scoreboard, and athlete wearables.

OUR ARCHITECTURAL PILLARS

1. FATHOM OS

A high-throughput aquatic operating system designed to capture lap velocities, stroke cadences, breakout times, and turn dynamics with zero latency.

2. DECK HARDWARE

Corrosion-proof, IP68 marine-grade deck modules engineered to thrive in high-humidity, chlorine-dense pool deck environments day in and day out.

3. COACH-CENTRIC WORKFLOW

Automated telemetry feeds into intuitive visualizations. Coaches keep their eyes on technique while Fathom logs every split, stroke count, and interval.

ACCESSIBILITY & ATHLETIC INCLUSION

We believe athletic technology should be usable by everyone. Our software interfaces are built to strictly comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, featuring full keyboard navigability, high-contrast color tokens, and full screen-reader support.
